Humanity has a deep, gut wrenching fear of death (rightfully so). It's no coincidence that the most famous bible verse is John 3:16, which supposedly promises eternal life from a simple belief. Christians, I appreciate your focus on eternal life, but your strategy to gain eternal life is flawed because it is based on the assumption that the bible is true... What if it ISN'T true? You might get OBLIVION when you die! If you wanted eternal life, then you should try to cure aging and avoid physical death. Even as an atheist, I can appreciate that you try to be obedient to a hypothetical God. I admit that is smart because a hypothetical God might exist. But all Gods are unproven hypothetical conjecture, so it's definitely NOT SMART to rely on a God to save you!!! Humanity needs to be responsible for our own immortality without expecting an unproven God to save us! This is logical! Any "Holy book" might be a complete fable. Rather than to put your trust in a Holy book as your source of truth, why not use your own mind and consider all the possibilities. Don't assume that you know the rules of God because of your interpretation of a book. It's much smarter to imagine FOR YOURSELF what the rules of a hypothetical deity might be. Your imagination is just as likely to be correct (or wrong) as the bible. "Take the risk of thinking for yourself. Much more happiness, truth, beauty and wisdom will come to you that way.
