Chocolate is very healthy and great for longevity but I have a few pointers for eternal life fans. 1) Most chocolate products are filled with bad ingredients like hydrogenated oils and processed milk powers. It's best to make your own chocolate by mixing coconut oil & pure cacao powder (1/1 ratio). If you gently warm the coconut oil it will liquefy and be easy to mix with the cacao powder. Sweeten to taste with stevia and/or honey. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and store in the refrigerator for it to harden. 2) Never consume milk with chocolate because the milk blocks the absorption of many antioxidants in the cacao. 3) Cacao beans have many naturally occurring toxins and anti-nutrients that may cause mild liver damage. Most of these toxins are neutralized by traditional methods of processing cacao beans such as cooking and fermenting. Therefore, it is best to avoid chocolate that is advertised as "raw" or "unfermented", as it will contain lots of these naturally occurring toxins. 4) This recipe is a great replacement for store-bought chocolate bars. Hank Green enters the Eternal Life Blasphemy Hall of Shame! His logic is insane. Death is not remotely comparable to any other part of the "life cycle".... Most parts of the "life cycle" are about growing and evolving, which is good. Death is distinctly different because death entails annihilation of the individual. In no way is this positive. Death is horrendous and anyone trying to romanticize or rationalize death is either deluded or evil. The "life cycle" as Hank puts it, is really the death cycle and the completion of this cycle renders our life meaningless. Hank also exposed himself as a small-minded fatalist by saying "We KNOW that death is going to happen to everyone"... That's NOT SO Hank! We don't KNOW that everyone is going to die. If living forever physically is not your goal, then you lack the most important kind of intelligence. There are many kinds of intelligence but having the desire and ability to survive forever is the most important of all. Those who fail to achieve this goal of eternal life are truly losers. I tell you this because it's the honest truth and because I don't want you to lose like so many have. If we want to live forever, we need to pinpoint all the ideas that work against our survival. We need to understand that most philosophers, and so-called intellectuals have failed to recognize that death renders life meaningless. They have failed to understand the necessity of living forever. Philosophy, knowledge and every other aspect of life is pointless if we fail to live forever. A good philosopher must have this as his/her core premise. If we are to succeed at eternal life, we need to have the mindset of strict perfectionism because eternity is a long time and a lot could go wrong. What I'm talking about is Murphy's Law. Anything that can go wrong, WILL GO WRONG. Therefore, we must plan our life so that nothing can go wrong. Obviously our life must entail SOME risk because the world is far from a Utopia and most of us lack the financial resources to afford impenetrable home security systems, death-proof cars, etc. But we must do our best to minimize risk given what we have available to us. Aging is currently the number one risk factor we all face. We must work to cure aging as soon as possible. If we live cautiously but we still die from aging, then it would all be for nothing.
