Fear is a valuable asset for anyone who is trying to live forever. If it wasn't for my fear of death, there's a good chance that I might not even be alive today. Fear is like a safety restraint; I'm sure you can recall many times when fear kept you from danger. Fear is not the enemy -- carelessness is! In this messed up world, the word "fearless" is tossed around like it's some kind of virtue, while fear is thought of as a weakness. Here's how it really works. Everyone has the fear of death but most people employ coping mechanisms and delusions to numb their fear. Coping mechanisms are for the weak. The brave person lives free from delusions and is forced to deal with reality and the fear that it arouses. The best word I can think of to describe reality is "nightmarish". Can you think of a better one? Life is like a nightmare because most of us will have to watch people we love die. And what's even worse is that we ourselves have no guarantee of survival. So my point is this... Being fearful of death doesn't mean that you are a sad person. It means that you must be a happy person that loves life and understands the magnitude of what's at stake. It is brave to live with the realization that death is the worst thing that could ever happen to you, and that we are all in a very precarious situation. But if we use our fear as FUEL, then we can hopefully muster up enough energy to free ourselves from the prison of aging and death. Live forever or be dead forever. It's up to us. "Every so often, someone describes me as fearless. That’s like calling me an idiot." ~ Laird Hamilton Check out this quote by Karen Walker on fear: http://is.gd/TzglrY via Eternal Life Fan Club http://ift.tt/1A1AsXH
