Our world does not give old people the love and respect they deserve. If we did, then SENS Foundation would have access to trillions of dollars. Aging is cruel and barbaric. If there is a God that created the universe and designed humans to age, He/She/It is very cruel to put us through such torture. I don't believe in God or the afterlife and it's very psychologically traumatizing to think I'm headed for oblivion (if we don't cure aging). Being permanently dead for the rest of forever is beyond tragic. If it is my fate to die from entropy, then life is meaningless. Being alive in this world is like being on death row or being held hostage by a merciless psychopath, with little hope for escape. The idea of eternal oblivion is so stressful that most people have to delude themselves just to cope and make it through the day without suffering a nervous breakdown. They literally cannot handle the truth. If they actually comprehended the true consequences of death, they would not be able to function. Mental illness, addictions, religion, and violence, are all caused in large part from the deep psychological trauma of death. Death always hangs over us, threatening our own life and the life of our loved ones. Death has always been our enemy, but most people are victims of the Stockholm syndrome. They've embraced death as a friend because it hurts to recognize that you are being oppressed and held hostage with a knife slowly pressing deeper into your throat with each passing day. Luckily we do have at least SOME HOPE thanks to SENS foundation. I suppose the small possibility of a God might offer some glimmer of hope, but certainly not much. Please take your health EXTEMELY SERIOSULY. Even a small error could destroy your chances of eternal life. Keep in mind that no one really knows how long we have to survive until our aging is halted and reversed via longevity escape velocity.
