There are MANY dumb traditions and societal norms, but the most dumb tradition of all is the acceptance of death. Yes, the acceptance of death IS a tradition which is rooted in religious ideas of an afterlife, as well as a general defeatist attitude. The truth is that living forever IS POSSIBLE and we’d be idiots not to try for it. But most people have not been taught to question the of tradition of death.
