It is irrational to say that "death is inevitable". How can anyone say that unless they are a psychic that can see into the future? A rational person cannot deny the possibility that we could have a breakthrough in medicine that allows us to live indefinitely. If we want to hang on to this glorious life, then we should be pushing towards this goal as fast as possible. After our lives are no longer bound by the constraints of biological aging, then we can work to solve every other threat to our existence. Technology has the power to conquer death but if you want to live forever, the most important thing right now is to live as safely as possible. Though technology has greatly improved our safety, life is still filled with chaos and danger. As we transform this world into a technological utopia, our odds of survival will exponentially increase over time. Eventually, with sufficient technology and backup safety systems, we could become virtually immortal. But getting to this future destination is going to be very precarious and who knows how few of us will actually make it there. This is why eternal life fans should always be working to perfect their strategy. When it comes to survival, there is little room for error.
