One of the common criticisms of transhumanism is that it opposes what's natural. But why should we care about staying natural when nature doesn't care about our eternal life? If we want to live forever, we need to dispense with the notion that we have any obligation to stay natural. Let's never forget that nature is responsible for viruses, disease, aging, natural disasters, birth defects, and is the cause of incredible suffering and death. I give thanks to nature for getting us this far in our evolution, but we'll take it from here.
