“𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬, 𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴.” ~ 𝘌𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘏𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘸𝘢𝘺 Just think about it. If we come from nothing and return back into nothing when we die... What's the point of anything? If we die, we won't remember anything we ever accomplished. It's as if it never happened. We won't have any thought-process whatsoever. Life is utterly meaningless -- IF death is inevitable. BUT, lucky for us, we do have a real opportunity to live forever. There is SO MUCH possibility!!!!! As long as we are ALIVE, we have HOPE! And as long as we are alive, we should work to make Indefinite life extension a reality and not just a dream. "𝘈𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘺, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘈𝘐𝘕 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩." ~ 𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘥 𝘗𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘳 In conclusion: The only thing that gives meaning to life is the possibility of living forever, because AS SOON AS YOU DIE, you have no meaning... you are no longer a person... You are NOTHING -- sucks for you. .... But many argue, "Well, what's so bad about death -- it would be like you were never born... Being an unborn person wasn't unpleasant, so what's to fear?" A common quotation that people love to cite is the following by Mark Twain: “𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘪𝘵.” But Mark Twain is not addressing the real problem with death. The problem is not "inconvenience" or any kind of suffering with death. The problem is the ABSENCE of life and all the wonderful things that life has to offer. I am THRILLED that I was born into this world. I appreciate this wonderful opportunity called LIFE and I lament the possibility that it might come to an abysmal end -- blackness -- lights out! Sayonara to life! NO THANK YOU!!!!! That SUCKS. Non-existence is a despicable fate. The idea of being worm-food, or fish food, or being incinerated to a pile of ashes should repulse anyone with self-respect! Everyone who believes in the afterlife is a wishful thinker and everyone else is desperately trying to attach value to their temporary existence that is preceded by nothingness and ends with nothingness. That is absurd! It is delusional! A temporary existence is meaningless no matter how long it is. It doesn't matter if you were rich or famous or accomplished great things. It doesn't even matter if you were a humanitarian. If you die, it's mathematically the same result for you... A big ZERO FOR YOU. GAME OVER. YOU LOST. I'm all about helping people and being a humanitarian. And guess what? I can't help anyone if I'm dead. The person who avoids death and lives indefinitely has the potential to be a much greater humanitarian than anyone. Living forever and working to create a world where everyone can live forever is the most effective altruism there is. If you really love yourself, you would NOT let yourself die. You would become obsessed with survival. If you love other people, you would tell them to do the same. You would WARN THEM about the seriousness and the finality of death. Free them from their delusions... Help them to fear death so they can be properly motivated to perfect their eternal life strategy. via Eternal Life Fan Club http://ift.tt/1DVHrOD
